User access to vital information such as Content, Price Books,Reports, and Documents is typically managed by Public Group-level permissions. However, if you manually maintain Public Group membership, you risk exposing too much information or giving the wrong information to the wrong people.

Apprivo Dynamic Public Groups uses a rules-based approach to automatically determine and dynamically manage Public Group membership by user account attributes.

How it works

Public Groups are used extensively in Salesforce to drive visibility permissions. However, Public Group membership is static, defined manually either by individual user, which isn’t scalable, or by user role, which quickly becomes unmanageable.

With Apprivo Dynamic Public Groups, you can create reliable rules using account attributes to automatically define Public Group membership. For example, if you create a “High Priority Accounts” Dynamic Public Group, anytime the priority field on an account record is updated all portal users related to that account are automatically added to or removed from the Public Group This innovation allows you to ensure users always have the right level of access to the right information.
